Yoga Research

Danielle’s research focuses on the effects of yoga for individuals with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). Her individualized sessions use yoga as a means to deepen awareness of and connection to our body/somatic selves. Generally, sessions will combine breathing, postures (seated and standing), and and mindfulness mediation. However, each session is tailored to an individual’s needs. Her preliminary case series study on yoga for FND suggest individuals' perceived benefits include improvements in balance, mobility, confidence, calmness, and daily symptom management.

If you are interested in being a part of a research study and have FND or other related conditions, please reach out to learn more about individual sessions and/or eligibility for research studies.
